Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing - Hematology/Oncology to lead and oversee clinical nursing operations within a high-performing oncology service line in Boston, MA. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care delivery, operational excellence, staff development, and regulatory compliance across hematology and oncology nursing services.

The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise in hematology/oncology, proven nursing leadership experience, and a passion for advancing patient-centered cancer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Hematology/Oncology nursing services
• Ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards and best practices
• Lead nursing staff recruitment, mentoring, scheduling, and performance management
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and executive leadership to improve patient outcomes
• Monitor departmental budgets, productivity, and resource utilization
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused work environment

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN or higher degree preferred
• Active, unrestricted Massachusetts RN License
• Strong Hematology/Oncology nursing experience required
• Prior nursing leadership or management experience preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
